Healthy parks, Healthy people

Ontario has joined the world-wide Healthy Parks Healthy People movement and is encouraging everyone to visit a provincial park to improve their health. Ontario's provincial parks will be open to the public free of charge on July 17 this year for all day-use visitors.

In Hamilton Halton Brant, that means a free day of play at Bronte Creek Provincial Park. Enjoy 10km of multi-purpose trails, Spruce Lane Farm, a turn-of-the-century living history museum, a nature centre, children's playbarn and a 1.8 acre pool.

Special fun planned for July 17th includes a guided tour of the Trillium Trail, an interactive Ask the Ranger display and a Hands-on Heritage experience at Spruce Lane Farm where guests can learn how to play Cricket.

Fun fact … Did you know that Bronte Creek Provincial Park is as large as New York City’s Central Park?
