Spring into a White Water Rush

Take advantage of high water on the Nith River near Paris on Grand Experiences’ exciting whitewater rafting trip with easy-to-moderate Class 1 & 2 rapids. The four-hour trips begin on the calmer upper Nith, winding past towering bluffs and through amazing forests filled with wildlife as an experienced guide teaches the nuances of paddling the raft. Traveling down river things begin to speed up as elevation drops increase, helping you get the feel of the raft in smaller rapids. After a break for a delicious, warming campfire lunch at Bas Beach you’ll paddle by Devil’s Cave and get ready to tackle 3 kilometres of rolling waves and rapids.

You’ll feel like you’re riding an amusement park's flume ride. The Nith's rapids are not strong enough to throw anyone out of the raft but strong enough to provide lots of fun as you fly through the end of the run. At the end of your adventure you’ll be shuttled back to the outfitter’s shop where a steaming mug of hot chocolate awaits.

You’ll be outfitted with a neoprene wet suit to ensure you stay safe, warm & comfortable.

Whitewater rafting on the Nith River depends on conditions, but trips are usually available in spring/ear;y summer and again in October. Trips run on weekends, but are available weekdays for groups of four or more. Learn more and book your trip.
